A vegetable facial mask can provide some good benefits for the skin. For example, facial masks that use a cucumber are great because of the diuretic, cleansing, and cooling properties that the cucumber provides.
Cucumbers are useful in reducing facial puffiness, especially around the eyes. Other vegetable masks using carrots, artichokes, etc., can also be beneficial for the skin, providing it with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Some facial mask recipes the utilize various type of vegetables such as cucumber, carrots, and artichokes, are provided below.
In a ceramic bowl, mash the artichoke hearts and mix them with the oil and vinegar. Stir the ingredients together well until a smooth paste results. Massage the artichoke facial mixture onto the face and neck. Leave it on the skin for 10 to 15 minutes, rinse off the facial with warm water, and pat dry the skin with a clean towel.
The first step is to cook the carrots. When the carrots are soft, mash them with a fork and mix in the honey. Apply the mixture to the skin and leave it on for approximately ten minutes. Rinse off the facial with cool water and pat dry the face.
Place all three of the ingredients above into a blender and mix well until smooth. Apply to the face while avoiding the eye area. Leave the cucumber facial mask on the skin for 15 to 20 minutes and then rinse. This vegetable facial mask is particularly good for cleansing and moisturizing.
Blend the cucumber and milk together in a blender. Apply the blended mixture to the face and leave it on for five minutes.
