My skin rash problem started out somewhat small and circular on my right forearm. I thought that it was possibly a ringworm type rash so I started putting over the counter creams on it which did not help at all. Therefore, I stopped using the creams and unfortunately the rash grew fairly large and still remains semicircular in shape. It is typically red in color and scaly with white heads present that look like zits or acne. These acne like pimples appear here and there. The center of my forearm appeared to not be affected for sometime but now the center is also becoming infected.
I went to the doctor for this skin problem and she prescribed me a steroid cream and also antibiotics. The cream helped calm the rash and at times it almost went away but the cream only did so much. I didn't take the antibiotics for other reasons. I then went back to the doctor and now she has me on some kind of pill for fungus. I feel like she is just prescribing me all kinds of BS instead of taking a blood sample or other means to figure this out or properly diagnose my skin problem.
I would appreciate any input from readers that have had something similar or may know what this is and how to treat it.
I have included a couple of pictures of my rash to help describe it.
