Red Inflamed Skin Scratches on Body

I've had this condition of inflamed skin scratches for years. I'm about 20 now and I've had it since I was 12. I have dry skin but I noticed that the inflamed skin scratches started slowly. At first I thought it was only in the winter time. It was for a short while when it was really cold and did not occur often, maybe a few times a week from what I can remember. Then in the summer this inflamed skin condition also flared up and ever since then it has appeared more often and anywhere on my body. My skin was just becoming more and more sensitive and the only way I found to relieve the inflamed skin was antihistamines.
It is a very annoying condition. People ask me what happened to my face because it mostly appears on my face. Friends and family tell me not to scratch, but I really don't notice most of the time when I scratch - the inflamed skin scratches just come up. It's very frustrating and I wish there was a cure. It makes me feel a bit self-conscious going to important events/parties and interviews. It's not pleasant. My mom has psoriasis, so I'm not sure if the inflamed skin scratches and psoriasis are related. I should also add that the inflamed scratch marks are red and last for not longer than 10-15 minutes no matter where on my body the inflamed skin scratches appear. After they appear they slightly burn and feel itchy. It becomes more frequent when I'm stressed and tired.
